The Swedish Industrial Heritage Association (SIM) is an NGO established in 1989. It is dedicated to research, documentation, evaluation and protection of industrial heritage in Sweden.
SIM, is a non-profit organisation and welcomes all with an interest in industrial heritage, organisations as well as individuals. An important goal is to engage practitioners and academic scholars in diverse fields of industrial heritage preservation and research – conservation and preservation, architecture, urban planning, antiquarian sciences, history of technology and other fields.

SIM assists in research projects, helps authorities on a national, regional and local level to develop policies, which favour the protection of industrial heritage, and provides consultations and assistance to training courses in relevant fields. SIM holds annual meetings and publishes the results of symposia.
